Gianluca Grasso

Photo of GIanluca GrassoGianluca Grasso is a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian School for the Judiciary since January 2020. Previously he held several positions in the Judiciary: Judge at the Documentation and Study Office of the Court of Cassation and trainer of the Italian Judicial School in the Supreme Court (2015–2020), Judge at the Secretariat of the High Council for the Judiciary (2010–2015), Employment judge at the Tribunal of Santa Maria Capua Vetere (2009-2010), National Judge at the Court of Justice European Union (2009), and Judge at the Tribunal of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (2003-2009).

He specialised in Commercial Law (1999) and Law and Economics of the European Communities (2002) at the Federico II University of Naples where he graduated in Law in 1996 with highest honours. He holds a PhD in Law (2005) at the European School of Advanced Studies of Naples (Suor Orsola Benincasa University Institute, Istituto Universitario Orientale, Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies).

He is a Lecturer in advanced training courses, the author of a book on European Contract Law and more than 100 contributions in volumes and legal reviews (Il Foro Italiano, Rivista di Diritto Civile, Contratto e Impresa, Contratto e Impresa/Europa, Famiglia e diritto, Giurisprudenza di merito, Diritto e giurisprudenza, Famiglia e Successioni, Diritto dell'Unione Europea).
